What You Can Expect
Students will study the aforementioned topics in a game setting. By completing challenges (assignments), they will earn “experience points” that will put them in a race to reach the top of the leaderboard. Completing more difficult challenges, helping peers, etc. will allow them to earn “gold” and honor points which can be used in the store to purchase items such as cell phone use, play computer game, and even have a free day of class. Demerits can be issued for cheating the game, using cell phone without permission, playing on the computer, etc.
Some challenges will be required, others will be optional, thereby giving students the opportunity to work at their own pace and repeat skills that they don’t fully understand, or delve deeper into more challenging projects of interest to them.
Supplies
Students should have a pen, pencil and loose leaf paper as needed.
