Shape Tools

Illustrator has a set of shapes that you can use on their own, combine with others or edit to look like something completely different.

Watch and follow along with this video

Save your file as #_lastname_shape_tools.ai. Then File > Export > Save for Web to save your file as a JPG.

Create a Fish

Go to the Campus Share Drive, copy the  file: #_lastname_fish.ai   to your Illustrator folder in  your One Drive and rename it.

You'll use the parts in these files to construct a fish or a lamb and put in a background.  Watch the following videos to complete it.

Fish:

Save your file as an Illustrator file, then File > Export  > Save for Web to save it as a JPG for putting on your Google Site.

Turning it in

  1. Go to your Illustrator page of your Canvas ePortfolio
  2. Write your entries
    1. Title of your Challenge
    2. Answer the questions
      1. How do you save an Illustrator file as a JPG?
      2. What type of graphic is a JPG?
      3. How do you "tear away" a set of tools in Illustrator?
    3. Insert the JPG images of your completed work (shape tools & fish).
