Tuesday

GDI 1 & 2:
You are working on projects today. At the end of class, you will email me and tell me what project you worked on and how much was completed. Attach the file that you were working on, finished or not. This is a grade.

AV 1 & 2:
Colby/Chandler – you have a couple of slides to record for the announcements. Do that ASAP and email it to me.

Everyone should be working on editing their PSA.
Once your editing is complete, you should find an After Effects Text Effects tutorial that you’d like to use for your title.

At the end of class, you will email me and tell me what you worked on and how much was completed. Attach a screenshot of your Premiere timeline, finished or not. This is a grade.

CS1:
You will work on today’s lesson. My instructions are recorded and on the Zoom page. Make sure you listen through to the end as I’ve left an important message for you. Today’s lesson should be completed today for a grade. If you finish early, you should work on missing assignments.

4 Days

Remember that Thursday is the final day of this six weeks.
Friday is a holiday.
Anything that you’d like graded should be submitted by Wednesday so that I have time to grade it.

GDI and AV classes – make sure your ePortfolio is up to date and the link has been updated as well.

More Deadlines

Next Thursday, April 14th is the end of the 5th Six Weeks!

Please make sure that you have work turned in to me by Wednesday so that I have time to grade it.

Deadlines

Thursday, April 7 is the deadline to submit entries for the LCISD Digital Media Festival. If you are taking the English II EOC exam tomorrow, that means you need to submit it TODAY! This is a MAJOR grade for GDI 1 and 2, and AV 1 and 2.

Please refer to the entry form for accepted file types and the correct file naming. Your entry will be disqualified if you don’t follow these directions.

Copy and paste your entries here: LCHS DMF Entries

Thursday – Friday

I’m out for Computer Science training again. Please remember that your phones must be put up, and you must be working on your given assignments to receive a grade for today.

GDI 1 and 2:

You have a new Infographic challenge under the Illustrator list on your page. You’ll do one stage at a time. The sub has a worksheet with questions for you to answer to go along with the first video in that stage. The questions go along with the video. You should complete those questions and turn them in on Thursday, then continue with the research on Friday. The other documents are in the Campus Share Drive > Samuelson > Infographic folder.

A/V 1 and 2:

Colby/Chandler: Check your email to see if there are new announcements for you to record. Once you finish, email them to me.

Groups that have not completed their storyboard, script and shot list for the PSA should do that today and turn it in to the sub at the end of the period or when you finish.

As you finish, there are a few “quizzes” that you should take. You may use Google and/or Premiere Pro to help you with the answers. But these should be done individually to test your knowledge. When you finish, hit the “Check your Answers” button at the bottom, then “Print the test” button at the top right. As soon as you hit print, go get it from the printer and write your name at the top.

CS 1:

Open TechSmart to complete your lessons for the day. You can use each other for help. The sub has the printed solution that you can look at, but you cannot take a picture or take it to your seat. If you don’t finish, it’s your responsibility to finish it for HW. If you don’t finish assignments when there’s a sub, you get a zero and cannot make it up.

Juniors & Seniors…

Whether you plan on going straight into the workforce, trade school, tech school, JuCo, or a 4 year university, you should register for the LCISD Job & Career Fair to be held at LCHS on Monday, April 4th. Use the QR code on the flyer to register.

TWO Weeks Left!

Sixteen days to be more exact.

If you need passes to Mustang Time to get work completed, please let me know. I’m also here in the mornings to help you get caught up.

Next week:

Tuesday – English 1 EOC STAAR
Thursday – English 2 EOC STAAR

Let’s go!

Deadlines to remember:

LCISD Digital Media Festival entries: 3:40 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2022
End of 5th Six Weeks: Thursday, April 14, 2022

Thursday-Friday

Remember that your phones should be put away (or in the wall pocket) at the start of each class period.

GDI 1 and 2:

There is a new challenge at the end of the Photoshop list called Face Slice Effect. You will complete this tutorial, print it when you’ve finished, and add it to your ePortfolio. Don’t spend too much time “searching” for pictures. Take a new one at the start of class with a solid color wall behind you to make it easy to edit. When you finish, go work on whatever project you were currently doing.

AV 1 and 2:

You’ll need Premiere 2022 downloaded from Adobe Creative Cloud if you haven’t already – do it now while you work on other things. You will complete the Nursery Rhyme Foley and turn it in if you haven’t already. At the end of the Foley Challenge, you’ll find directions for the Subway commercial. The folder is in the Campus Share Drive – copy it to your desktop.

CS1:

You have a set of assignments for both Thursday and Friday. You’ll find video instructions to help you through it on my Zoom page. Remember that you must complete your work when the sub is here to get credit for the work that day. I will not accept late work because you chose to do something else.

Tuesday

I’m on campus, but working in another room today. I’ll pop in as often as I can to check on you and see if you need help.

GDI 1 and 2:

Follow these guidelines to create your own personal logo using Adobe Express Logo Maker. This project should take10-15 minutes. Download the PNG when you finish and email it to me for a daily grade. Then continue on with your current project.

A/V 1 and 2:

Colby/Chandler – ASAP! there’s one announcement to read. Email the finished PPT to me when you finish.

Nursery Rhyme Foley – there are 4 snowballs and a couple of microphones setting by my desk so that you can record your 5+ examples of foley sound effects for your nursery rhyme. There are some options for your ambient sound in the Campus Share Drive > Royalty Free Music & Sound FX. You need to have your 5+ Foley sounds completed today.

CS 1:

You have a lesson in TechSmart. I’ve recorded short & simple instructions that you can listen to along with any previous days you’ve missed. You need to finish the lesson today for HW if you don’t finish in class. Remember you have to complete work in order to get credit for today’s work.
