You have 3 weeks left in this six weeks – it ends on Friday, February 18.
Reminders:
Put your phones in the wall pocket until your work is completed!
Do your assigned work and turn it in on time!
Use feedback to improve your work if necessary!
Be creative!
Tell me (or email me your updated URL) every time you complete an assignment so that I can grade it!
Bribe Bag!
I’ve made bags of goodies (assorted candies & gift cards) to be raffled off at the end of the six weeks. Each time you complete an assignment, thoroughly and on time, you will have your name entered into the raffle. Good luck!
Thursday, January 27th – course carnival night from 5:45-8 pm. Need 2 GDI/AV students to film & interview students. Green screen/Red carpet – it’s just to get their attention.
Monday, January 31st – junior high course selection in our auditorium. 1:00 – 2:30 pm.
I need 1 student per course to present their course to the students and be around to answer questions. I’ll prepare something for you to get started.
You must be passing your classes to volunteer. You will be responsible for making up any work you miss from your classes. You can earn volunteer hours for this.
Please remember that phones are to be put away (wall pockets, purses, backpacks) at the beginning of each class and until you have completed your work.
Graphic Design – make sure you are following the directions up through uploading your work to your eportfolio.
Audio/Video – no filming today! You will work on an After Effects tutorial. You can choose one from the website, or one of youts.r own choosing. It will be for a grade. So anything else you are working on should be put away and completed when you are finished with After Effects.
CS 1 – you are working on the TechSmart lesson assigned to you today. I’ve recorded instructions for you to follow along with.
My classes walked 94.25 miles on Friday for the POW/MIA Remembrance Run. Well done & THANK YOU!
We’re getting close to progress reports, so please make sure you are keeping up with your assignments. If you’ve been out for any reason, please let me know when you’ve made up your work so that I can check it and update your grades.
As long as the weather holds, and we don’t fall behind, Ms. Samuelson’s classes will be walking the track with our JROTC students in the 5th annual POW/MIA Remembrance Run. See this flyer for more details. Wear comfortable clothing & shoes!
As a student in AAVTC, you are invited to submit entries into this year’s Digital Media Festival. You can enter up to two projects into each category. Some of them have been assigned as class projects – you can spiff them up and submit them, or you can choose to do something from scratch.
