LCISD Technology Responsible Use Agreement
The purpose of this agreement is so that staff and students understand how to properly use technology while on campus, and are aware of the consequences when technology is used incorrectly.
You and your parent/guardian need to read through the full document which can be found in the Student Handbook online, starting on page 55.
Once you and your parent have read through the document, you should both read and sign the Computer Lab Usage Agreement. Cut off the bottom part and bring back to me.
Small Group
You'll be placed into small groups. There are 5-6 sections of the Technology Responsible Use Guidelines that your group is responsible for. You will read through your section, highlight what you think are the most meaningful points to share with the class.
- Each person reads, suggests the important points & discusses whether they should be included
- One person should write down the points
- A second person should present them to the class
NOTE: This is not to argue whether you agree with the guidelines or not. It's to understand what is on it and that there are consequences if they are broken.
Parts of the Technology Responsible Use Guidelines:
- Purpose & Scope
- System Access
- Responsible Use and Digital Citizenship Guidelines
- General Policies (Personal Technology & Use of Social Networking/Digital Tools)
- General Policies (Unacceptable and Inappropriate Use of Technology Resources through the end of the section)
- Disclaimer
Just the Main Points
We'll go over the main points together as a class.
Test Your Knowledge
If you do not pass, you will need to read through the document again and retake the quiz until you do. Log into your Canvas account with your LCISD username and password. Go to your Technology class and you should see your quiz. This quiz is to be quietly and independently.
