Animate Symbols
Open the Animate page of your Canvas ePortfolio. Read through this website. Put the Title of the challenge at the top of the page, below that you will need to define/explain:
- Graphic Symbol
- Movie Clip Symbol
- Button Symbol
- Why are symbols important?
Animate Skills
Open a new Animate file, Actionscript 3.0 document. Keep it at the default settings. Follow along with the following videos to complete a graphic, button, and movie clip symbol.

Save the file into your Animate folder in your One Drive as #_lastname_symbols. When you are finished and have it saved, then you'll need to publish a SWF file. Control > Test
Publish Settings to get a SWF.
Turning it in
You will continue your post at the top of the Animate page of your Canvas ePortfolio. Be sure you have the following:
- Title of the Challenge
- 4 definitions/answers from stage 1
- Embed the SWF file - you must watch this video and follow along carefully. The spelling, capitalization, spacing, etc must be exact! Use the code: <p><iframe src="https://lcisd.instructure.com/files/filenumberofswf/" width="550" height="400"></iframe></p>
