Thursday – English II Testing

ONE WEEK until the end of the 6 weeks – put your phones away, close the music and videos, and get your work done!

Today we are on Mustang Time schedule!

You are working on the Logo and the Mustang with quote Thursday and Friday! All work should be done in Illustrator. The images, examples and text needed is in the Campus Share Drive > Samuelson > CLIENTS folder.

Logo for Mustang Student Media: should be uniform to the example, but change the color to Lamar Blue (CMYK 100, 89, 15, 3). Replace the lightning bolt with a horseshoe. Keep the camera lens in the background.

Mustang with Quote: You’ll need to use a clipping mask to get the “text with picture” effect. You’ll have to experiment with font size and placement of text. Make sure you choose a thick font, but nothing too decorative – the picture should pop through the text.

When you finish, please turn in your correctly named Illustrator file to Campus Share Drive > Samuelson_Drop > Client_Work.

Hey Mustangs! We’ve got a full house in here for this session. You can sit where you’d like. Before you get started, I have a video for you to watch. If you were in here last session, you’ve watched it already and don’t have to watch it again.

Options for you during Mustang Time…

Use the computers to get work done for my class or other classes.

Try… Photography, Video, photo editing, video editing, or other Adobe software. Try block coding, Python, Java, or one of my coding toys – Sphero, Makey-Makey, Codrone, Arduino, Microbit. Or if you’re feeling crafty – create a design to go on a tshirt or your tumbler. If I didn’t list something you’d like to learn (computer-related), let me know and I’ll try to find a resource for you.

Check your school email please…

I got my emails granting a 90 day license to use Brain Buffet and Learn Key Adobe Test Prep Materials. I filled out my forms the day before you did.

Check your school email and let me know if it’s there or not. If it’s not, we’ll check again tomorrow.

Ten more weeks of school for this year! Three weeks of school left in this grading period – you need to work hard and make sure you stay caught up with your assignments.

Reminder – Digital Media Festival entries are DUE TODAY!
